Sildisoft tablets are used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) and are similar in purpose to other sildenafil-based medications. They contain sildenafil citrate, the same active ingredient found in Viagra. Sildenafil citrate is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor. It works by blocking the PDE5 enzyme, which leads to increased levels of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). This results in the relaxation of blood vessels in the penis and increased blood flow, helping to achieve and maintain an erection in response to sexual stimulation.
